Welcome to Shomer Habris your new Blog on the Net!

It is written of Israel, “I have set you apart from the nations to be mine,” (Vayikra, 20:24) and it is written, “You shall sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I, the L_rd, am holy,” (Ibid, 11:44.)

Zohar, Vayikra 84a We have learned, it is forbidden for a man to gaze upon the beauty of a woman, so that he should not come to have evil thoughts and thus be incited to something worse (the wasting of semen. See Avodah Zara, 20b.)

A Jew isn’t just someone who eats bagels, gefilta fish, or felafal. Whether he acknowledges it or not, a Jew is a unique holy being, blessed with a Divine code of living. Ever since G_d made His covenant with Avraham, the Jewish People have been called upon to guard the sanctity of their sexual life. It turns out that not everything you see in the movies, tv, internet, magazines, etc., is kosher for a Jew. The point is, when it comes to sexual relations, because of the great yetzer and passions involved, there are many sound rules that are often overlooked, and this is where a lot of our troubles begin – both for the individual and for the Jewish Nation as a whole.

Do you let a guy fall off a cliff, or do you yell out to save him? Rabbi Leon stresses that when it comes to Shmirat HaBrit, it is not knowledge that brings people to despair, but rather the lack of it. When people learn that there is a tikun, and a way to a happier, holier existence, they discover a new joy in their lives. G_d didn’t stamp the sign of the Covenant on our forehead, our arm, or our mouth. The holiness of our sexual lives, more than anything else, distinguishes our holy calling as Jews. G_d didn’t bring us back to the Holy Land for us to create another Hollywood, or to turn Disengorf Street into Sunset Strip. With G_d’s help and kindness, we have come back and rebuilt our Promised Land. Now is the time to infuse it with more and more holiness.

In Western Society the various sins of Pgam Habris are looked at as if they are harmless. Even in the religious world some of them such as spilling seed are almost totally ignored. Since people do not hear about the severity of these sins they hardly stay away from them. Even the people that were warned that it is a sin to commit such actions look at them like an extremely minor transgression with very little consequences. In Western Society it is considered imposable to be Shomer Habris. There are even wicked people who claim that it is unhealthy to be Shomer Habris.

This is all a lie. Pgam Habris is one of the worst sins that a person can commit. A person is going to be punished for his actions even if he passed his life pretending that he is ignorant and avoiding the truth.

Pgam Habris is a very strong Klipah. Rebbe Nachman writes that staying pure from any sort of Pgam Habris in action, thought or speech is the main test a person is subjected to in his life. It is therefore not surprising that many fall to these Klipas, each person according to his personal downfalls. Even though it is a constant battle to be Shomer Habris a person must do so for his whole life is dependent on it, both in this world and the next. The punishment for any sort of Pgam Habris is extreme. In this world a person is brought through suffering after suffering for his actions. In the next world the person is demolished completely for such sins. Any person in this world who is leading a happy life although he is Pogem Habris, should know that every ounce of his energy is coming straight from the Sitra Acher and in fact his punishment after death will be many times more then those who have suffered in this world for their sins.

The Reason for this Blog

As part of my Tikkun and with the help of Hashem, I decided to make my brethren aware of the need to rectify and live a Holy Life in accordance with our Torah, in order that we may hasten the arrival of Moshiach and free Yisroel from all it’s suffering.

NOTE: Please be notified that nothing on this Blog is of my authorship, I have searched the Internet and have placed the very best concerning this matter.

Now and then, I might place an article of my own authorship.

Blessings.
